Sean Molloy is an experienced chemical engineer, CEO, and director, who has over 15 years experience in the development of novel sustainable energy and materials technologies. In 2014, Sean co-founded waste to value technology developer Avertana, whose technology produces a basket of quality of life commodities from titanium rich steel making waste. The first commercial project utilizing Avertana’s technology is currently entering construction in China. Prior to founding Avertana, Sean has worked in automotive biogas production (Greenlane Biogas), and the commercialization of gas fermentation for Carbon Capture and Utilisation in sustainable fuels and chemical production (LanzaTech). Sean is a director of ultra low carbon emissions Zinc recovery technology developer, Zincovery.

The Marshall group undertake research incatalysis, materials science and electrochemistry. Prof Marshall is the co-founder of ultra low carbon emissions Zinc recovery technology developer, Zincovery. LanzaTech has successfully developed, scaled, and commercialized a novel industrial platform for the manufacture of sustainable fuels, chemicals and materials from waste streams. The company spun out a new venture (LanzaJet) to produce sustainable aviation fuel and diesel in 2020, and publicly listed on the NASDAQ in early 2023. Dr Simpson has published over 20 journal articles and holds over 200 patents. He serves on the board of several start-up ventures in the sustainable manufacturing field.  His awards include the 2015 US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Presidential Green Chemistry Award, he holds a Ph.D. from the University of York (UK).
